About Us

Company History

Merritt Arch's roots began in 1975 when James R. Merritt FAIA established his independent architecture practice. Merritt has been a principal of the firm since this time, joining with other of mutual interest throughout the years. Throughout his career, Merritt has maintained a leadership role as the principal in charge of projects, a design architect, and a manager. He continued these roles as the firm grew and merged in 1998 with a multi-disciplined engineering firm.

In March of 2001 Merritt determined his best course of action was a reorganization of his practice to focus on personal hands-on client service, client relationships, and quality design, resulting in the formation of the independent firm of Merritt Arch PLLC.
